Capacitation In Vitro Maturation (CAPA - IVM)

CAPA - IVM, Invitro Maturation is a fertility treatment that is designed specifically for women with PCOS to avoid excessive hormonal stimulation and OHSS. In a routine IVF cycle, the woman receives multiple hormonal injections, resulting in more eggs, and only the mature eggs are subjected to IVF. In an IVM cycle immature eggs are collected and matured in the lab and later subjected to IVF. IVM is an evolving technique with promising results which can be offered as an alternative to IVF. Reduced Hormonal Medication: Less or no need for ovarian stimulation drugs, to lower the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). Cheaper than IVF: IVM is less expensive than traditional IVF due to less medication use.
